Travel Log 7-9: By Goerge I Think She's Got It......

I gave myself the deadline of today to come up with a new purpose for this little patch of blog estate and by Goerge (who the Hecate is Goerge anyway?) I think I have found what will work for me.
This is one of the very few places that I feel is safe for me to talk about my spirituality. It is also one of the extremely rare places that I feel safe showing my creative side. That is honestly something too precious to lose.
When I sat down and really thought about what I wanted to do with this I just kept circling back to what brought me here in the first place. A seemingly never ending group of people who were just flat out awesome in their diversity and their commitment to being themselves no matter what. That's a group I really want to be part of.
So from now on I'm going to be making a concerted effort to bring those parts of myself out of hibernation and go back to expressing them here. Therefore I'm going to be setting goals for myself that I'll be sharing here as well as completing.
Basically I am reaffirming to myself the original purpose of this blog and solidifying my commitment to it.
So yay! I figured out what I really wanted to do here.
And on that note here is another little tidbit from my "magic in every little thing" exercises:
      When mopping the floors-
Drop a small amount of fresh lemon juice as well as some sprigs of either lavender or rosemary into your mop water(or solution of your choice) and say-
Sour to make life, when compared, seem sweet
Herbs to wash the bad energy away
Water to make the dirty pure
Hard work to make it clean for us to play

Travel Log 7-7: In The Good Old Summer Tiiiiime!

How's it going out there in blog land?
Things are chugging along here. Just made my first batch of homemade pasta sauce. And also just cleaned a bowl full of my home made pasta sauce off of the Squishasuares Rex's head, lol. I would say wearing it as a hat is a standing ovation in our house. The Hubby liked it too, which makes me glad that there was enough to keep a couple bottles.
Not a lot has really been going on here. Just the same old same old. Got a couple of days off so we're going to try and do some berry picking and swimming.
Next month is the first blogiversary of Lost In Astral Space. When I started this blog I had a rough idea of what I wanted to do. I wanted to create a space that I felt safe expressing my spiritual path and my creative self. I stared drawing again, writing, and really drawing myself into spirituality as a whole. Then I went back to work.
Since then I have moved into a bit of a drifting, lackadaisical vagueness. I think I need to come up with a purpose again.
I love reading all of your blogs and catching up with what you're doing, but I have almost no drive to post anything myself. So I need to decide what I'm going to do with this blog.
I am giving myself until Friday to come up with either a new purpose, or re-devote myself to the old one.
Until then here's another little tid bit from my "a little bit of magic"  campaign:

When giving an almost 2 year old and a 3 year old a bath before bed:
Using any available no tears lavander bath wash, scrub the naked slippery child. During this process begin chanting the following-
 Scrub a dub dub
  A babe in the tub
With water we clean
With fire we warm
The god helps you grow stong
The goddess keeps you from harm

Just a little tidbit I do to help protect the little ones!
